Senior Moves, Handled With Patience
Helping a parent leave a Central Indiana home they’ve held for decades is half logistics and half something harder to put into words. Our crew eases the pace, sorts with care, and treats the heirlooms as if they can’t be replaced, because they can’t. We’re a licensed Indianapolis moving company doing the work ourselves, never a referral line passing your family along to somebody else.
How Move Day Unfolds
We open with an unhurried walkthrough and a plan built together with the resident and the family. The crew wraps the sentimental pieces by hand and loads at a steady pace, and at the new home we unpack the essentials and set up the bedroom and the favorite chair before anything else, so the day ends in a space that’s already livable. If it’s a winter move into a senior community, we keep the walks salted and the doors from banging open, so the cold isn’t pouring in around your parent all afternoon.
What a Senior Move Includes
- An unhurried pace from a crew that explains each step
- Sorting help for keep, donate and pass-down piles
- White-glove wrapping for china, clocks and framed photos
- A downsizing layout so the smaller home fits comfortably
- Furniture set up with the bedroom made ready first
What We Leave to Others
We don’t run estate sales or haul donations off to a charity, though we’ll gladly point you to local Indianapolis services that do. We also don’t disconnect medical equipment or hardwired fixtures; a technician should take care of those.
Pricing
Senior moves tend to be smaller, so flat-rate from $365 for a studio or 1-bedroom and $575 for a 2-bedroom makes a solid starting point, with downsizing and sorting added by the hour at $139/hr for two movers whenever it’s needed.
